Art as Resistance

Location: 6:00-7:30pm, 2101 Broad

Art as Resistance is a monthly student-organized space in which artistic practice and political resistance can intersect, coexist, mutually inform, and work towards change.

Art has always been at the center of any great social movement. From creating protest posters to hosting teach-ins on political art, Art as Resistance convenes those of us who want to bring our creative tools to the necessary work of resistance, community organizing, and critical political engagement.

Sponsored by the UCLA Visual and Performing Arts Education (VAPAE) Program.
